The Jivit Thmei (means New Life in Cambodian) television program airs weekly through Lowell Telecommunication Cable (LTC) access. Since 1999 this television program produced over 240 episodes focused on a range of health care issues collaborating with hosts from the health center as well as professionals from the community in English and in Khmer. This Jivit Thmei television program reaches all age groups. According to the Cambodian Community Health 2010, Community Behavioral Risk Factor Survey Results, 2002, 68% of adult Cambodians twenty five and older obtain health information from cable access, and 81% watch cable access.

Lowell SEA Water Festival
Every year, the Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival Committees put on a very organize, family fun, and festive event. These diverse committees deserve a lot of recognition for their work. On Saturday August, 15, 2009, many SEA folks from around the world came together along the Merrimack River around the Sampas Pavilion to enjoy this annual event. Remember, the Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival is always on the third Saturday of August. If you could not come this year, please remember to come next year, bring the entire family!!! |
